    Facebook startet heute an der Nasdaq unter dem Symbol FB. Die Aktien kosten bei der Ausgabe 38 USD – Facebook nimmt damit 16 Mrd. USD ein (da es nur einen Teil der Aktien an die Börse bringt) und wird insgesamt mit 104 Mrd. USD bewertet.

    Hier ein Vergleich, was andere Tech Giganten bei Ihrem IPO eingenommen haben:

    Hier geht’s zur Berechnung, wie hoch die Facebook Aktie steigen müsste, um als Unternehmen genauso viel wert zu sein wie Apple.

    Frage:

    Wie viel müsste eine Facebook Aktie kosten, wenn das gesamte Unternehmen Zuckerbergs genauso viel Wert sein soll wie Apple mit einer Marktkapitalisierung von 500 Mrd USD?

    Annahmen:

    Eine Facebook Aktie kommt zu 30 USD und das Gesamtunternehmen wird dann mit 100 Mrd.. USD bewertet.

    und:

    Apple Aktie kostet 600 USD und ist damit 500 Mrd. schwer.

    Lösung?

    Die Lösung ist denkbar einfach – mit einem klassischen Dreisatz:

    Facebook: 100 Mrd USD Gesamt entspricht 30 USD je Aktie

    Apple: 500 Mrd USD Gesamt entspricht 600 USD je Aktie

    Um also Facebook auf die gleiche Marktbewertung wie Apple zu bringen, müsste der Marktwert von 100 auf 600 Mrd. USD steigen. Daraus folgt, dass auch der Preis pro Aktie um das 6fache steigen müsste.

    Unter den von uns gemachten Annahmen, wären Apple und Facebook gleich viel Wert, wenn die Aktien von Apple bei 600 und Facebook bei 180 USD stünden (30 USD x 6).

    Many Companies forbid use of social media at work, but recent research shows that web surfing leads to increased productivity.

    This infographic below explores the benefits of social media in the workplace, showing that social connections make people happier and a brief recess involving Internet-browsing increases productivity.

    The study concludes that taking a break, particularly one spent browsing the Internet, should be encouraged by employers hoping to increase productivity.
