Auf der heutigen Veranstaltung in NYC hat Apple das Programm “iBooks Author” vorsgestellt, mit dem jeder digitale Schulbücher erstellen kann. Klingt nicht soderlich aufregend, ist es aber. Apple revolutioniert damit den Markt für Schul- und Lehrbücher. Die Bücher können digital aktualisiert werden und bleiben somit auf dem neuesten Stand. Ebenso kann man Filme und 3D Grafiken einbinden. Zum Lernen lassen sich ganz einfach Karteikarten mit dem enstprechenden Inhalt erstellen.
Das Programm, um den Schul- und Lehrbuchmarkt mit diesen neuen Möglichkeiten zu bedienen ist … kostenlos!

A lot of people using an iPod Touch or iPad don’t realize that they can also use iMessage to stay in mobile contact to friends and family – if they have an iOS Device. Because all Apple’s iOS Devices like iPhone, iPod Toch an iPad are able to use iMessage – for free.
So if you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and still don’t know how to activate and use iMessage, just read this short manuell.
I think it’s just a matter of time, you can use iMessage on a Mac too.

Apple hat vom US-Markenamt ein Patent zugesprochen bekommnen, welches weitreichende Auswirkungen auf das gesamte Onlinegeschäft haben könnte. Das ursprünglich bereits im Jahre 1998 von Xerox beantragte und Ende 2009 von Apple erworbene Patent mit dem Namen System and method for obtaining and using location specific information sichert dem Unternehmen die Schutzrechte an einem standortbasierten Informationssystem, welches ein Ortungssystem (z.B. GPS) in Kombination mit einem Netzwerk nutzt.
Apple erhält somit ein weitreichendes Patent auf die standortbasierte Auslieferung von Informationen und könnte demnach von jedem Anbieter entsprechender standortbasierter Dienste (Facebook etc.) Lizenzgebühren verlangen.

Today I tried for the first time since I installed Lion OSX to use my Custom Quartz Filters in PDF preview – but they didn’t show up.
