    Satte 20 Prozent der Ausgaben für Consumer Electronics (CE) in den USA entfielen 2012 auf Apple-Produkte. Das ergab nun eine Untersuchung der NPD Group. In die Kassen der Konkurrenz von Samsung flossen 9,3 Prozent der Umsätze, Hewlett-Packards CE-Marktanteil belief sich auf 8,2 Prozent.

  5. Apple Quartalszahlen – Infografik.

    Apple hat gestern seine Zahlen für das 4. Geschäftsquartal 2012 vorgelegt.

    Mit 36 Mrd. USD Umsatz wurde Rekordumsatz in einem Q4 erzielt. Unterm Strich verdiente Apple in den letzten 3 Monaten 8,2 Mrd. USD – ebenso ein Rekord und 24% mehr als im Vorjahresquartal. Im gleichen Zeitraum verkaufte Apple 14 Millionen iPads – jedoch weniger als vom Markt erwartet. Bei den Verkaufszahlen des iPhones übertraf Apple mit 27 Mio. Stück hingegen die Markterwatungen.

    Das abgeschlossene Geschäftsjahr ist das erfolgreichste in der Unternehmensgeschichte:

    156,5 Mrd. USD Umsatz und 41,7 Mrd. USD Gewinn.

    Zum Vergleich: Vor fünf Jahren, im Jahr in dem das iPhone debütierte, erzielte Apple einen Gewinn 3,5 Milliarden bei einem Umsatz von 24,6 Milliarden Dollar.

    Samsung hasn’t just copied the outside shape of the rectangular iPad, however. It has meticulously copied everything Apple sells down to the shape and design of chargers and accessories to the box the products go in to the lettering and design of the box itself, as well as the software features Apple pioneered to make its iOS devices easy and desirable to use.

    Samsung’s copying of the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4 series, and the iPad have been so thorough and complete that retailer Best Buy complained to Samsung that customers were returning the Samsung Galaxy Tab because they thought they’d purchased an iPad. (via)
